Writeorium helps students improve their writing through clear, structured feedback. It does not rewrite student work or give grades but supports learning through thoughtful revision.

1. Submit your writing

Students submit a piece in any of eight supported types — narrative, argumentative, research, poetry, creative writing, drama, informative, or compare/contrast. Select your grade level (5th-6th, 7th-8th, or 9th-12th) and upload or paste your text (up to 2,000 words).

2. Get tailored feedback

Receive detailed critique calibrated to grade level and writing type. Elementary students get warm, specific guidance with age-appropriate vocabulary. Middle schoolers get balanced challenge and support. High schoolers get college-prep analysis with literary and rhetorical terminology — thesis, warrants, imagery, subtext, and more.

3. Revise and improve

Students use the feedback to revise independently. They learn to recognize strengths, address weaknesses, and develop their craft — skills that transfer to every piece they write. No rewriting, no grades — just the guidance they need to improve.

Submit revisions (optional)

Students can submit revised versions for additional feedback. Each submission uses one credit, encouraging thoughtful revision rather than endless tweaking.

Why this works better than ChatGPT

ChatGPT and similar tools will rewrite student sentences or generate entire essays — which doesn’t teach anything. Writeorium never rewrites or completes assignments. Instead, we provide grade-specific, type-specific feedback that teaches students to revise their own work.

We don’t replace teachers or parents. We give them a tool that actually helps students learn.
